With paternal concern, we would like to extend our cordial felicitations and unite the
Catbaloganons of Las Vegas and nearby States, USA, in thanking the good Lord for His
countless blessings He has showered upon you all as you celebrate the Annual Celebration
of catbaloganons devotions namely, St. Bartholomew (Parish Center) , Our Lady of the Holy
Rosary (Ubanon), Our Lady of Mercy (Burak), St. Roch (Likod Patag) and Our Lady of
Salvation (Canlapwas).

As we go on our Pastoral Ministry in Catbalogan, we thank and praise God for giving us
grandiose years of fruitful ministry with full of challenges as we continuously offer our
priestly commitment and ministerial dedication in this parish. Historically, after 38 years since
the beautiful rectory gutted by fire (1969), we believe it is a call for every one to once again
unite in prayers and actions for a noble purpose. So the Parish Pastoral Council has started
last year undertaking the construction of the parish rectory to better serve the priests
assigned to this parish, to the parishioners and visitors, a rectory that would complement the
imposing beautiful church, a rectory that would restore dignity, and a rectory that would
motivate the faithful to work strongly for our Church and to participate in her mission.

Therefore, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all catbaloganons, donors and
friends for their generosity. We hope we can realize this major project that would make the
dream of every catbaloganon of this capital city of Samar come true. Once more we seek your
fervent prayers and financial assistance that this project be materialized before the next
scheduled reshuffling of priests assignment come 2009. May God, through the intercession of
St. Bartholomew, bless and reward you.
