The Saba Family
The Saba Family is originally from  San Bartolome
St., Catbalogan, Samar. We still have our house
there, although we haven't paid any attention to it
for the last few years. My grandparents were born
and died in Catbalogan on the same address. It is
sad to note that in spite the cemented and fenced
burial site of my grandparents, some people still
buried their relatives remains on it. That should
have been our only reason to visit Catbalogan,
aside from visiting friends and distant relatives. My
father is Celedonio Batosbatosan Saba  who died
from heart failure in Manila in 1984, and was buried
at the Manila Memorial Park. My mother Justina
Saba lives in Manila, and travels to Australia often
to visit members of the family who resides there.
The family is spread out in the US , Australia, Manila
and one in Zambales, although we've been
asking/convincing our sister in Zambales to move to
Catbalogan so the legacy will continue with her the
decission remains to be seen. I live in Washington
State, the youngest in the sibblings Venus Saba
lives in Pocatello Idaho.  There are 10 sibblings in
the family. Three of which Marina Saba, Nida Saba
and Aurora Saba lives in Brisbane, Australia. The
eldest Emerenciana "Merlyn" Saba is moving to
Texas in the next few months. Jed Saba and
Teresita Saba are in Laguna and Ronaldo Saba
lives in Makati City.  We are all members of The
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, that's
why we aren't seen much in the dominated Catholic
faith activities, though my aunt Valentina Saba who
died a year ago in Manila was a very active
Catholic. She actually raised me in Catbalogan all
the way through high school (Samar School of Arts
and Trades).

Old pictures shown here is from a church Christmas
Party, from a rented building, showing members of
the small church group including visitors. It includes
my family, my aunts and some cousins.
